Lavinia Stamps Poppy Pods

*This post is part of the February promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Happy Friday, I hope you've all had a good week. For today's card I chose to use the Lavinia Stamps Poppy Pods duo against a splodgy background..............

I swiped three Adirondack ink pads onto my blending mat; Sunset Orange, Pool & Raspberry & spritzed them & a piece of watercolour card liberally with water...............

Usually, I would tape the watercolour card to my craft sheet so that it wouldn't buckle from all the moisture, but this time I wanted the inks to run into each other, so no taping was required. I picked up lots of each ink with a paintbrush & applied them to the card...........

I used a piece of paper towel to soak up ink from any areas that were too dark & set the card aside to dry.............

When it was dry I used a grey ink from my stash through the TCW Chickenwire Reversed stencil onto a few areas & stamped the poppy pods with Onyx Black Versafine ink & heat set with WOW Clear Gloss embossing powder. The Field Grass stamp by Lavinia Stamps was stamped with embossing ink & heat set with WOW Bright White EP.

I added the Hobby Art sentiment & a few adhesive pearls to finish.........
