Distress Ink Backgrounds

Good morning, I hope everyone had a nice weekend, it was a beautiful one here, with lots of sunshine.

Following Friday's classes in Maidstone, our blog projects this month with be mostly about stamping, stencilling & Distress Inks. I have two cards to show you today, based on Lisa's class project cards, which she will show you on Wednesday.

I created a very simple background for the first card, using Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean & Wilted Violet Mini Distress Inks, blended on to white card first, then through two
That's Crafty Dinky stencils - Honeycomb Background & Quatrefoil 1.

I added splatters of Shimmering Blue Brusho Spray & when that was dry I stamped the Crealies stamp No. 39 with WOW! embossing ink & heat set with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder.

I applied Black Starlights from Imagination Crafts through their Peony Large Flower stencil & the Stampendous Celebrate Birthday stamp was stamped with WOW! embossing ink & heat set with WOW! Gold Rich EP. I used black & white card stock for matting & layering & a 7x7 white card blank...........

For the second card I used Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade & Scattered Straw Distress Inks, Crealies stamps & Brusho Shimmering Copper splatters for the background..........

Then I first applied Black Starlights through the Crafter's Workshop stencil, Wildflowers, followed by Light Copper Sparkle Medium.

I finished the card with the same birthday stamp & black & white matting & layering as above.........
